What is EDGT Token?

EDGT is the native token of the Edgecoin payment system based on a stellar-based blockchain system. The number of Edgecoins that issued and circulated must not exceed the underlying Won balance. Edgecoin needs a solution that provides a secure offline approval mechanism while providing a flexible online approval mechanism.

A hybrid solution is proposed, i.e., the “Build” custody, which controls smart contracts that increase the supply of Edgecoin tokens, online and offline approval mechanisms are both involved. To implement this unique approach, we insert a smart contract called ‘Build Limiter’ in the ‘Build’ custody chain. With the approval of the online key, ‘Build’ can issue Edgecoin to the amount specified by “Build Limiter” or the “Upper Limit”.

This upper limit is increased after approval of the offline keyset (or decreased after approval of the online keyset). The solution provides the Edgecoin system with the security and flexibility required for a pass.

What is Gradecoin (GRTC)?

Edgecoin has one native fuel token called Gradecoin GRTC. Gradecoin is the fuel token for the realization of Edgecoin network resource control, with a maximum total limit of 10 billion. There is no minimum unit of GDRT and the token can be subdivided.

If EDGT is transferred to a new address, the subsequent GRTC generated will be credited to the new address. When a large number of spam transactions occur, Edgecoin can be used to priorities transactions and smart contracts with qualified identities.
